Why Do We Say that The Word Appears in the Flesh Comprises God’s Utterances?
From the Bible, we can all see that whether the words are spoken directly by God’s Spirit, communicated through a prophet, or spoken by God incarnate through the image of the Lord Jesus, all are God’s utterances. Any of God’s words enable people to sense their authority and power and that they are all the truth; this is undeniable. All who read God’s words frequently can see expressions of His authority, almightiness, and wisdom in them, as well as expressions of His righteous disposition; in this way, God’s identity and position are clearly reflected within His words. The Word Appears in the Flesh is a compilation of words expressed by God’s second incarnation and which were uttered after God completed the work of redemption of mankind in the Age of Grace and had officially begun the work of judgment in the last days, starting with His house. These words are the words God spoke to all humankind in the last days. In them, Almighty God uncovers the mystery of God’s six-thousand-year management plan, the purpose and significance of His three stages of work, the mystery of His incarnation, the mystery of judgment in the last days, and the mystery of mankind’s end and destination; also revealing the essence and the truth of mankind’s corruption by Satan and showing humanity the path along which to practice the truth and attain changes in their life dispositions; and so on—thereby fulfilling the prophecies in the Book of Revelation: “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). “And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders said to me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” (Revelation 5:1–5). Almighty God’s words have completely fulfilled the prophecies of the Book of Revelation. Only God can uncover the mystery of His own management plan, and only God, in His identity as the Creator, can speak His utterances to all mankind, judge and reveal the truth of mankind’s corruption, and determine the ends and destinations for all the various kinds of people. The utterances of Almighty God have authority and power, and every word represents what God has and is. We can therefore assert that The Word Appears in the Flesh as expressed by Almighty God is a compilation of words God has spoken to all of humanity in the last days, as well as words spoken to the churches by the Holy Spirit.
Each time God becomes flesh to speak, He always utters words which admonish and make demands of humans, words that judge, chastise, and reveal corrupt humans, as well as words that make promises to them, and so on. God’s words are all expressions of the truth, the way, and the life; they are revelations of His life essence, representing His disposition and what He has and is. This is like how the Lord Jesus expressed many words when He came to do His work. For example: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:37–40). “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in” (Matthew 23:13). The words of the Lord Jesus include God’s demands of humans as well as His words of judgment of them. All of these words were spoken to humans by God in His identity as the Creator, and from the words expressed by the Lord Jesus, we can see that God’s words are the truth, that they are authoritative and powerful, and that they entirely represent God’s identity and position. The words spoken by Almighty God are the same as those of the Lord Jesus; they are all words spoken to mankind by God incarnate, and they express God’s disposition and holy essence, completely manifesting His identity and position. Almighty God not only reveals the mystery concerning God’s six-thousand-year management plan, but also reveals the essence and source of the corruption of all of humanity, and has even exposed corruptions of heart and mind in people, of which they are not even aware. Upon reading these words, people accept them wholeheartedly. At the same time, the words of Almighty God show them the way to cast off Satan’s dark influences and be purified and attain salvation, and they tell people all of the truths they should practice and enter in their faith, such as how to become an honest person, how to love and submit to God, how to fear Him and shun evil, how to serve Him, how to live out a normal humanity, and so on. All the different aspects of truth expressed by Almighty God in the last days both fulfill and accomplish the Lord Jesus’s prophecy: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). Besides the Creator, who could speak to all mankind? Who could directly express God’s will and make demands of humanity? Besides God, who could see the truth and essence of corrupt mankind? Who could expose the satanic nature hidden in the deepest recesses of the human heart? Who could accomplish God’s work of judgment in the last days and thoroughly save people from Satan’s influence? No celebrity, great person, intellectual, or theologian can express the truth or speak to all mankind, much less see through people’s corrupt essence or save them from Satan’s domain; only the Creator possesses this kind of authority and power! Almighty God’s words are a complete manifestation of God’s unique authority and power; they are a manifestation of His identity and essence. Therefore, the words of Almighty God are the words of God and of the Holy Spirit, and this is beyond all doubt.
